The Elusive Bicone

While I’m still working out just how to post about my trip I thought I’d share what’s been going on in glass class. My latest infatuation is bi-cone beads, with frit of course.

I’m happiest with the really thin ones but they are the trickiest and there are lots of casualties.

Sadly some of them are (or were) really pretty beads (love, love, love that blue one – waaaa!).

And look how big they are! Neat, right?

The first four (left to right) on the top row are breathtaking — like van Gogh paintings, or something. Fantastic work!

Let there be frit…and it was good!

So do you make the beads themselves, or do you have beads and then frit away?? They are gorgeous, so many different styles and some look like swirls and some look like they have flowers and gold and 100s and 1000s!!
