You might think with all the Madagascar talk you are missing out on the goings on around here. Good news! I’ve told all the Mada stories I’m going to for a while and you haven’t missed a thing. To prove it I’m going to borrow Phantasmagoria from my friend Jac* as I’ve done in the past; shamelessly and without permission, but never without gratitude. By the by, you really must visit Jac’s site. If you dig a bit you’ll see that she’s recently suffered the loss of Brown Dog, heart breaking, but when you do click over you’ll be greeted by Brown Pup…heart melting! Thanks Jac!
Reading: Hammer of God by Karen Miller. I started the trilogy when I started my trip overseas and managed to read through two and three-quarter books. To be honest I haven’t looked at it since I got home; I really should finish it.
Listening: The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold. That thump you just heard was several people who know me well that just keeled over in shock and amazement that I’ve wandered, ever so briefly, away from my preferred fantasy and into the world of contemporary literature. Also, Sugarland.
Watching: The new seasons of Leverage and The Mentalist, reruns of Criminal Minds (HubbaHubba!), and whenever I can steal an hour the game; Aion. One of you is going to have to start playing that game; I’m stuck and have been since before I left. I need a team to get me un-stuck – send help.
Eating: Of late I’ve been craving casseroles and slow cooker foods; maybe it’s the cool weather (although today it will be 80). This weekend I’m making Moroccan Short Ribs because the recipe showed up in my email inbox one day and it sounds good. I’d also like to try an Oyster Bisque recipe but I’m having trouble finding anyone who’ll help me eat it.
Liking: This game. In fact I like it so much I might have to break down and buy it. Caution: it’s addicting!
Pondering: Decorating the master bedroom, replacing the window treatments, cleaning out the sewing room and buying new makeup.
Making: Beads, beads, beads – especially hearts with florals encased in them. I’d like to sell some; enough to pay for the classes, but they keep coming out with flaws in them. I am frustrated right now.
Finding fascinating: These dolls and by relation this blog. Be warned, once you click over you’ll be there a while. Amazing, beautiful, and eerie things there.
Wanting: Mulch and people to spread it. Admittedly people to pull the weeds, clear the flower beds and cut back all of the frost damage would be pretty darn nice too. Anyone interested in a mulch party? There will be ribs.

I’ll help you eat the oysters. I’ll even shuck em. Did you have to put that game up? Help me!

Oh, Karen Miller is Australian!! She has a series of amusing comedy fantasy too. New Mentalist, you lucky thing, I think it starts here soon, Simon was born here, right here in my city. Very cool!!
I would play the game but our broadband is dial-up speed, so I hope someone can help you!!!
Oh the new puppy is so cute!!! -
I liked the Lovely Bones. I thought it was well-done–I’ve heard the movie is awful, though. Sanitized for our protection.
I’ve been like a fiend making soups and stews for Husband. I am a soup-hater, but I can only eat what’s on my diet right now, so I figured it was a really good time to make him happy with some of his favorites. So far, he likes my Italian Wedding Soup best.
And you know, I’ve never been into dolls, but those are astounding. Serious works of art. I’ll bet there’s a hell of a market for them, too.
